Veneranda Fabbrica's new journal

A great step forward by the people: all the distribution points

For the first time since 1387, Veneranda Fabbrica del Duomo has an official journal. On 13 December last year, on the day commemorating the virgin martyr St. Lucia, patron saint of the Veneranda Fabbrica, its President Angelo Caloia,Gianantonio Borgonovo, Dean of the Duomo, Armando Torno and Philippe Daverio presented the first issue of the magazine in the Archives of the Veneranda Fabbrica.

The first edition of the magazine, entitled "Veneranda Fabbrica del Duomo di Milano" under the editorship of Armando Torno, is a twelve-page quarterly journal in tabloid format with a four-page collector's folder illustrating the most interesting and fascinating signs of the great story of the Milanese people; it will be distributed free at the Grande Museo del Duomo (Palazzo Reale – Piazza Duomo, 12) and at the Archives of the Veneranda Fabbrica (Piazza Duomo, 20). It will soon be available in digital format too from the official website.
The journal is intended as a place for announcements and dialogue, making it an authentic paper cathedral: a combination of many differing articles and small news items to make up a great journal, and continue presenting a story of the Duomo that is increasingly newer and increasingly more relevant.

Inside Veneranda Fabbrica del Duomo di Milano you will find all the names of the "Adopt a Spire" donors. The list of donors is already very long, but it is to be hoped that many names may continue to be published, as examples, to support participation in this important fund raising campaign and succeed in completing the restoration work planned for the spires and pinnacles in time for Expo2015.
